I collect masks; I grew up with mask and am often inspired by them. They are one of the visible symbols of the African in black from the Diaspora. In my home country of Haiti, we do ritual to honor our ancestors. I was inspired by the spirit of my ancestors in making this quilt. This quilt is part of a series.
